The Seward Screw “campus” includes an
80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, and a 20,000-square-foot Subcontract, Wash, Pack, Warehouse and Ship facility directly across the street. Both buildings are air conditioned. The manufacturing facility includes in-floor chip conveying, overhead cranes, and centralized mist collection. Raw material storage, tool storage, maintenance, machine repair, and limited tool manufacturing/modifying/sharpening are also in the manufacturing facility. The chip collection system includes chip downsizing, centrifugal oil spinning reclamation and optimal compaction for recycling.
The Subcontract operation includes two trucks for moving parts between buildings, to and from local sub-contractors, as well as finished-part delivery to local customers within a 20-25 mile radius of Seward.
"Working with your engineering team on the new (cold-formed connection rod) parts has been a real pleasure and an eye-opening experience. Their suggestions and recommendations will allow us to beat our cost targets, and defeat the nagging installation issues we were experiencing."
